SWET – live and direct at the zone contemporaine 17|05|18 – 28|08|18

Vernissage |17|05|18 19 Uhr

With SWET – live and direct at the zone contemporaine, it is not only a return to classic graffiti but zone contemporaine also presents works from a pioneer of this urban movement with pieces by Swet. The Danish-Swedish artist created his first pictures more that 30 years ago and since then has not only influenced the Scandinavian graffiti community with them but has also made his four letters a permanent an unmistakable part of the international scene.
Swet has created a vast number of works in recent years and realised exhibition projects in Germany, Italy, Denmark and Sweden. His motto “only wet paint” is underscored in particular by his Instagram account. His energy is probably best documented there and simultaneously the posts show that his works have lost nothing of their freshness over the years and are still sprayed free style. Although he constantly varies his pictures and experiments with new colours, Swet always remains true to himself. His dynamic lettering with its curved, long and free lines have earned him the nickname the “King of Swing”.
For the exhibition at zone contemporaine, Swet will create a new, monumental wall piece and also exhibit other works.
SWET, this word stands for more than just a row of four letters. Rather, it embodies a seemingly endless creativity, joy and passion for spraying, a positive mood and energy that also captivates the viewer.
